Content

Measurement and evaluation of body composition and anthropometry, functional capacity of the respiratory and circulatory systems, neuromuscular performance, postural balance, gait and mobility, physical activity, and psychological functioning in adults and older people.

Completion methods

Active participation in the lectures (14 hours) and demonstrations (14 hours), written reports.

After completing the course the student is able to
• Explain how the different areas of functional capacity can be measured and assessed
• Describe and evaluate the validity and reliability of various assessment techniques
• Understands the meaning of standardization for measurement reliability
