Description

The licentiate thesis must be based on independent research and constitute a harmonious scientific study in the doctoral student’s field of research.

Language of the licentiate thesis can be Finnish, Swedish, English, French, German or Russian, or another language approved by the Faculty.

A pass requires a licentiate thesis that is approved by the Faculty Council.

The grading scale is fail - sufficient - satisfactory - good - very good - excellent (0–5)

Learning outcomes

Doctoral student
