Content

The module consists of lectures on qualitative and quantitative research methods and related tutorials. Lectures consist of themes such as: different stages of empirical research process, differences between qualitative and quantitative methodology, different methods of data collection and analysis, research ethics and scientific writing.

Objectives:
- to become acquainted with scientific method and empirical research process in social sciences
- to understand the relationship between method and theory
- to give a general understanding of qualitative and quantitative research orientations and methodology
- to learn to read and evaluate empirical studies and to learn to use basic methods in qualitative and quantitative methodology.
