Content
To familiarise students with the basic skills and teaching of skating. Introduction to different kinds of skates and skating events as well as basic elements of skating on ice.
Completion methods
Lectures (2 hours), practical exercises (18 h). Maximum group size is 20.
Assessment details
Presence in all lessons is required for completing the course. The student will be assessed on the basis of active participation, group behaviour and positive attitude towards the subject to be taught, the teacher and other course participants during the lessons.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student:
- has learned the basic skills in skating
- knows the safety regulations on ice
- knows how to create interesting environment for learning
- is capable to analyze their own and the others’ skating skills
