The course guides students into university studies and portfolio work.
Completion methods
Taught course, creation of a personal study plan, and supervision.
Assessment criteria
80% participation in lectures, drawing up a personal study plan and participation in supervision discussion.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will:
- be familiar with the bachelor’s and master’s degree structure and the key practices and terminology related to these study programmes
- be familiar with the University of Jyväskylä degree regulations, including the rights and responsibilities therein
- be able to plan and schedule their studies and to make a personal study plan
- be familiar with the basics of information acquisition related to studying and
- be able to evaluate their choices, competence and areas requiring development, and understand the significance of their choices
