Content

The course deals with the culture of social relations and social research.

Assessment criteria

80% participation in teaching and written assignments or lecture exam. Completion by independent study – essay, a exam or reading group.

After completing the course, the student will:

• be able to explain how social networks and structures work on the level of culture
• be familiar with the key concepts and theories related to the local, identity, transnationalism and migration 

The course coordinator will refer students to learning material. For the book exam, all students will read this book:

Vertovec 2009: Transnationalism

and select two works from the following list:
