Content
The course deals with the history of ethnology and anthropology, including changes in research methods and subjects.
Assessment criteria
80% participation in teaching and written assignments. Independent work on written assignments or book exam.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will:
- be familiar with the key research and theoretical traditions influencing the history and present of ethnology, anthropology, cultural policy and related disciplines
- be able to place classics and research directions in the context of the development of the discipline and
- be able to understand the current research within the theory tradition of the discipline.
