Content

Students select an assignment or course to complement their learning and specialisation. The selected unit may be a course taught by a visiting scholar at the University of Jyväskylä, participating in or assisting with a conference, assisting with research or a project, completing courses in other subjects or other assignments relevant to developing the student’s own expertise.

Completion methods

Taught course or independent work (book exam, reading group or assignment).

Assessment criteria

80% participation in teaching and written assignments or lecture exam. Completion by independent study – essay or book exam.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student will:

  • have acquired expertise in their chosen subject in the field of ethnology, anthropology or cultural policy.
