Content

The course deals with the skills needed to write the thesis. The focus is on academic writing.

Completion methods

The seminar lasts for the whole academic year and includes drawing up a research plan, writing the bachelor’s thesis and related assignments, peer review, and presentations.

Assessment criteria

80% of participation in teaching, active participation in the seminar discussion, time management, study design, bachelor thesis and peer review.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student will:

  • be able to select and define the research topic, formulate the relevant research question and make the appropriate research plan for the thesis
  • be able to find the theoretical, methodological and empirical knowledge essential to the research study
  • recognise the ethically challenging areas related to their own research and be able to justify and defend the choices made in their own research
  • be able to produce academic texts and an academic thesis and
  • be able to participate in academic debate and critically examine other students’ theses.
