KEMS9800 Miniproject of Advanced Studies (2–6 cr)
Description
Mini projects offer a possibility to work in a research group for a short period of time and conduct independent, yet supervised, research on a given topic. ECTS credits earned depend on the duration of the mini project. For example, full-time work (35 h/week) in the laboratory for one month is equivalent to 5 ECTS. Students can do either one or several mini projects (over all at most 6 credits) and can do them among different research groups. Further details about mini projects can be obtained from research group leaders.

Learning outcomes
A mini-project is often done in a research group to get acquainted with the activities of the research group, for example; demanding multi-step syntheses for their design and implementation, or analytical methods and measurements, etc.
Working life skills
The student's interaction skills develop in teamwork. Students are able to take responsibility for their own work and scheduling.
