Description

Content 

The aim of this course is to provide students with insights into and practical tools for communicating as a teacher. During the first half of the course, we will overview and discuss various communicative contexts and skills. During the second half of the course, students will give their own practice teaching sessions drawing on the ideas presented during the first half.

After completing the course students will be able to:

  • promote class interaction and participation
  • present content in accessible and engaging ways
  • give clear instructions both orally and in writing
  • give constructive feedback
  • write texts related to teacher’s work (e.g. meeting memos, summaries of training afternoons; course descriptions)
  • communicate appropriately with relevant parties (e.g. colleagues, parents)
