Description

The aim of the course is to introduce the student into the mainstream models of cognitive information processing and how to implement these models into sound experimental designs in favour of studying developmental psychopatholgy. The emphasis of the course is on High Functioning Autism, ADHD and aggression but the domains of depression, metabolic disturbances and cerebral pareses will also be discussed. The experimental methods will be 1) behavioral observations, and 2) cognitive/reaction time research including psychophysiological and pharmacological research.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student is familiar with the mainstream international literature about developmental disorders and the way experts think about these issues.
