Description
The course introduces the properties and interactions of ecosystems, climate and social systems from a systemic perspective, emphasising sustainability issues.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student:
- Can describe the properties of ecosystems, social systems and their interactions using the appropriate terminology.
- Can explain what is meant by "planetary boundaries" and ecosystem services.
- Can describe the current economic, energy and food systems and discuss their environmental and social sustainability.
