Description

A written examination based on a textbook, approved by the professor, covering the student’s major subject. 

An alternative to the book examination is a literature review on the thesis topic or some other completion mode approved by the professor of the major study subject. 

It is strongly recommended that the doctoral student completes this course during her/his first year.

Upon completion, the student will 

-have good theoretical/methodological knowledge on the thesis topic.

-have broadened her/his perspective concerning the topic of the thesis.
