Description
This course focuses on three central areas of virology that are: virus types, their classification and viral life cycle. Particular attention is paid to steps of infection in the host cell including cellular entry, viral genome replication, intracellular trafficking of viral capsids and release from the host cell.
Learning outcomes
A learning goal is to understand the diversity and classification of viruses and their interactions with the host cells.
