Lectures, practical exercises, visits to fish farms, report, seminar. The student must be able to use Microsoft Excel.

Attendance to lectures and practicals, written report and a presentation.

Report, seminar presentation and peer-review.
Learning outcomes
By completing the course the student should understand the special characteristics, potential, possibilities, limitations and threats of aquaculture in Finland. The student will be perform the basic tasks in a fish farm. The student will be able to calculate the most common production parameters such as growth, and water and feed requirements of farmed fishes. The student understands the principles of recirculating aquaculture systems and possibilities to utilization of effluent nutrients.
