Content
This course offers an overview of and an introduction to intercultural communication. It explores the history of intercultural communication research and critically discusses major theories on and approaches to intercultural communication; it discusses the influence of stereotypes and effects and consequences of prejudice and racism in intercultural communication; it analyzes interactions in different, multilingual and multicultural settings, and it discusses how intercultural competence can be acquired.
