Content
- Ethical questions of science relating to viewpoints of individual researchers, scientific community and the scientific enterprise as a whole.
- Concepts and theories of ethics, especially in relation to problems of research ethics
- Disciplinary-specific questions of ethics.
Completion methods
A written assignment based on lectures and reading material (lectures in video format).
Assessment details
100 % participation in lectures (live or video lectures). 50% of points needed to get grade 1.
Learning outcomes
Upon completing the course, the student will be able to recognize ethical aspects of doing research in all phases of research and can differentiate between solutions given to ethical problems. The student is able to evaluate proposed solutions to problems of research ethics.
