Content
- the study of a variety of sample texts from among the following types of writing: creative non-fiction (i.e. personal essays on virtually any topic), short stories, poems
- the writing of similar types of texts
- constructively critical discussion of the writing produced by students
- redrafting and further discussion leading to a final draft
- discussion of the process and teaching of creative writing.

Contact teaching and group work.

By outcome from the process described above and particularly the final drafts.

After completing the course students will be able to
- identify the main criteria for writing effectively in the types of writing covered
- apply those criteria in their own writing.
