Content

Training acquaints student with research or planning work in the fields of biological and environmental science. It allows student to develop their understanding of the working life of Master of Science. Depending of the training site, this course allows students to apply and integrate their knowledge and skills acquired in various courses.Site of training has to be accepted by the teacher responsible of the course. Training plan must be written in advance and training report must be written after the training.

Training outside university and training report.

Assessment details

Accepted training report. Training report should be given within a month after finishing the training. Training is 5 ECTS / 1 month training.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student:
- has a better picture of the work in his/her field
- is able to evaluate their own skills and performance
- has learnt how to act motivated, committed and as a responsible member of the working community
- knows the essential rights and obligations of the employee and knows the job application process
- is able to plan and report their work

Additional information

BENS5040 Training (5-15 ECTS). 5 ECTS can be included in compulsory courses. As an alternative students can do BENS6040 Training abroad (5-25 ECTS) or BENS7040 Working in a research group (5 ECTS). To the degree students can include maximum of 20 ECTS of training in Finland or 25 ECTS training abroad.
