Content
The lectures (4 h) introduces the students to general guidelines and principles of making science. How to do science ethically correctly? What is good scientific practice? What are the consequences of scientific misconduct in the university?
Completion methods
Group work, seminars (12 h) and personal assignment.
Assessment details
Assessment for the course: pass-fail.
To get a passing grade, the student is required to attend the lectures and seminars and give accepted assignments.
Learning outcomes
By completing the course the student can plan, conduct and report scientific experiments according to the general ethical norms. The student knows what is plagiarism. The student knows university guidelines for preventing fraud in the studies and consequences if fraud is committed. The student knows what to do if s/he observes any kind of fraud or misconduct.
