Basic business studies provides an introduction to business in the fields of management and leadership, accounting, marketing, communication and entrepreneurship. The students acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes for understanding business issues from different perspectives and in different environments.
Learning outcomes
- The student gains a holistic understanding of doing business and can apply this understanding in practice.
- The student can identify current issues related to business and is able to consider his/her own interest in different fields of business.
- The student can evaluate business also from the perspectives of responsibility and ethicality.

Basic Business Studies study module includes minimum 25 ECTS credits. YTTP2160 Basic Business in Practise (3 ECTS cr) is optional.
