Learning outcomes

Students will understand:
• how technologies evolve
• how technological change affects industry structure
• how technological change shapes success factors of firms
• how firm size affects innovation processes
• how IPR protection affects firms and the society at large

Students will be able to:
• analyse technologies and their future potential
• compare industries as to their phase of evolution
• justify suitable strategies in relation to the technological evolution of the field
* argue for or against legal protection of innovation is specific firm cases
