Content

Creative writing course offers an insight into students' own writing process. Students will acquire various creative writing techniques through analyzing fiction and non-fiction texts and employing such linguistic elements as similes and metaphors. The course offers a forum for publishing students' texts in a Course journal. Working individually and / or in groups, in the end of the course, students will publish a writing portfolio and reflect on their writing process in learner logs.

Assessment details

Compulsory and active participation. Successful completion of core assignments. Final grading is based on the applicable grading scale for the course.

Students are expected to

- recognize various styles of fiction and nonfiction texts,
- employ creative writing techniques,
- publish a portfolio / blog,
- work in teams,
- direct, monitor, and assess their own writing process,
- provide peer feedback.
