Content

The Citation and Referencing module is intended for doctoral students. Accurate referencing of written work is essential as it enables readers to assess the accuracy of your interpretation of source material and see how your ideas have been influenced by others. This module aims to help you understand the function and mechanics of citing and referencing when you integrate evidence into your writing. You will also learn how to use language strategically depending on your field (e.g. reporting verbs, tense, personal pronouns), and discover how to develop your academic voice in the text.
