Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this course, student is able to
- identify the range and structure of sociological theory and to explore how theory has been applied to the study of sport
- understand, by applying sociological concepts, together with theories and evidence, the relationship between sport, culture and society
- demonstrate a sociological imagination based on relevant theoretical, conceptual and methodological skills
- apply knowledge, concepts and methodological skills to a variety of sport issues, problems and interactions
