Content

The energy consumption and production system and its global environmental effects, the formation of the energy issue as part of the national policy and the present national decision making on energy policy as part of the European Union.

Completion methods

Lectures and written assignment or web-based course and its assignments or written assignment.

Assessment details

The course will be evaluated based on the written assignment. If the course will be arranged as a traditional classroom teaching, the students are required to attend 80 percent of the lectures and they have to pass the written assignments. If the course will be organized on a web-platform, the evaluation criteria will be decided in the beginning of the course.

Learning outcomes

After course completion, students will understand the interactive relationship between energy sector and society. They will also be familiar with the formation and change of the energy sector on national and international level in the long run.
