Description

Content

Work will include the analytical methods and the use of analytical instruments. Topics covered will include gravimetry, potentiometry, titrimetry, as well as spectroscopic methods (Flame spectrophotometry, UV / VIS and atomic absorption spectrophotometer). The exercises are done in groups. This course consists of a research project, which is done in small groups. The results obtained in the reseacrh project are presented at the final seminar.

Assessment details

Required: laboratory work performance, research project planning, implementation and seminar presentation.

Learning outcomes

After the course, the student understand the theoretical premises associated with the different methods of analysis, as well as manages basic skills of analytical methods.

Description of prerequisites

Introduction to laboratory work (KEMA200) and Basics in Chemistry 1–3 (KEMP111-113).
