Postgraduate-level studies organised by the University, Faculty, Department or other organiser. The doctoral student selects the studies upon the recommendation of his/her supervisors and in compliance with his/her postgraduate study plan.

Learning outcomes
-The doctoral student is able to present his/her research to an international audience in speech and writing.
-Additional learning outcome for doctoral students whose native language is other than Finnish: depending on the initial state of his/her language skills, the doctoral student is competent in daily language use situations in Finnish or is also able to speak and write about his/her research in Finnish.
