Based on the quizzes and final writing assignment. Modules are evaluated/scored individually.
Learning outcomes
This course examines the assessment, evaluation, communication, and management of environmental risks. "Environmental" concerns will be limited to agents that are environmental or occupational in origin, and hazardous to human health or environment. "Risk" refers to the subjective as well as objective measurements of probabilistic events, and recognizes uncertainties with such information. Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to: Differentiate risk assessment, risk perceptions, risk communication and risk management, discuss biases in risk evaluation, define and clarify expert roles in risk analysis.
