Content

Water supply and sanitation, energy production from renewable and non-renewable sources, air and noise pollution control and waste management (waste production, collection, recycle, reuse, and final disposal). The student is familiar with the best available techniques and pollution prevention and remediation of contaminated environment.

Lectures, reading material, seminar and exam.

Learning outcomes

After the course, the student will know the basics of environmental technology and its role as a part of the infrastructure in our societies. The aim of environmental technology is to protect and remediate the physical, chemical and biological safety of human beings and to preserve the good status of natural surroundings, air, land and water.
