Content
During course sessions, identification of certain taxonomic groups of organisms and their basic biology are learnt.
Completion methods
Demonstrations and exercises in the laboratory. Six attendances equal two credits.

Attendance at the sessions.
Learning outcomes
After the course the student:
- is able to describe the most important morphological characteristics of the taxonomic groups in question, as well as the most important points that should be taken into account when identifying individuals of these groups
- can properly handle samples of each group of organisms and is able to identify individuals to species or other reasonable taxonomical level
- is also able to describe the main features of biology, ecology and species diversity in these organism groups
- is able to describe the most important morphological characteristics of the taxonomic groups in question, as well as the most important points that should be taken into account when identifying individuals of these groups
- can properly handle samples of each group of organisms and is able to identify individuals to species or other reasonable taxonomical level
- is also able to describe the main features of biology, ecology and species diversity in these organism groups
Additional information
Sessions are organized according to separate announcements in the evening hours (16-20).
