Micro-level practice of development project management, tools for project management (project cycle management, logical framework approach, project proposals, budgeting, assessment, evaluation), participatory methods, stakeholder analysis, theory of change.

Completion methods

Guest lectures, problem-based learning, group work, group simulation games, learning-by-doing group exercises.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the module, the students will be familiar with the different tools used in the planning, design, formulation, and management of development projects. They have developed skills needed in different phases of the project cycle and they will have an understanding on evaluating a development project.
