The use of physical chemical methods in molecular and cell biology.

Assessment details

In the exam the student need to show accomplish the basic knowledge of the themes of the course.
Activity in the lectures and exercises and a good performance in the team works elevates the grade. Attendance is required in the group discussions and in the practical exercises.

Learning outcomes

After the course the student understands the basic principles of physical-chemical characterization and analysis of biomolecules. After the course the student is able to choose a correct type of analysis method for each system and knows it´s possibilities and limitations.

Description of prerequisites

The basic and subject studies of the biology bachelor studies.
Course is suitable for chemists and physicists who have biology as a minor.
