Content
Lectures will be based on the course literature. Topics include such fundamental issues as long-term potentiation and protein regulation and the role of the hippocampus in memory formation.

Students learn the basic principles of how memories are formed and stored in
the brain and how these phenomena can be studied using experimental methods. They under-stand the general principles of learning that are common to all mammalian species.
