Content

Purpose of the Master's seminars is to support students in planning and realization of their Master’s thesis project. In the 2-stage seminar, the Master's seminar 2 focuses on processing of the materials and results and their oral (seminar presentation) and written (thesis) communication. Essential part of the course is oral seminar presentation, given when the MSc thesis materials have been collected, analyzed, interpreted and ready to be presented. In addition to own seminar presentation, students will act as opponents for other presentations, and have an opportunity to discuss about their scientific work with fellow students and teachers.

Completion methods

Presentation of the own thesis work. To complete the course, student has also to participate actively to practical demonstrations and discussions, as well as critical and constructive commenting on the other students' work.

Seminar presentation and acting as opponent. Activity during the course and in commenting the presentations

Learning outcomes

After finishing the course, the student:
- is able to present a synopsis of her/his thesis
- is able to communicate the methods of the thesis, analysis of the result and conclusions of the thesis
- is able to receive and give constructive critical feedback
