Content

The course is based on the MOOC course climate.now and follows its contents: climate system and change, the impacts of climate change in ecosystems and societies, mitigation and adaptation measures. In contact teaching and tasks, the scientific ground of climate change knowledge is highlighted.

Completion methods

Lectures (4h), group meetings (8x2h), net assignments, project assignments and seminars (4h) and learning diary.

Assessment details

Learning diary (50%) and project assignments (25% + 25%)

Learning outcomes

After finishing this course, the student has understanding about the climate change as as a scientific phenomenon. Additionally, she/he knows the mitigation and adaptation measures available. On top of the scientific base, the student understands the climate change as human and ethical challenge, and reflects his or her own role as an expert working in the field.

Basic studies in Biological and Environmental Science OR study right in Environmental Corporate management Master's (CEMS)
