Description

Content

The course will cover respiratory functions, blood circulation, digestive system, metabolism, storage of foodstuff, endocrine regulation, specialized functions of tissues, sensory functions and immunity.

Completion methods

The components of the course are video lectures, group discussions, individual and group exercises, seminars and learning diaries.

Assessment details

Attendance at the group discussions is compulsory. Course grading is based on individual assignments, group assignments and the learning diary.

Learning outcomes

After the course the student knows the key concepts of main physiological functions in mammals and particularly in humans. The student has learned were to find physiological information and can use it to solve problems related to for instance nutrition, exercise and health problems.
