XSUX005 Texts in Finnish 2 (3–4 cr)
Students learn to understand and process demanding Finnish texts. They set their own learning objectives and choose the texts to be handled on the course. The texts can be related to, for example, society, studies or work, and they are analysed from perspectives relevant to each text and learner. The aim is to simultaneously develop the students’ literacy. It is also essential to actively plan and develop one’s own learning.
The course is a contact teaching course, on which texts are processed and analysed from different perspectives both individually and among the group. Part of the course is implemented in an e-learning environment.
Course completion requires that the given assignments are completed within the agreed schedule. In addition, students are expected to participate actively in the meetings and online discussions. Course assessment is based on continuous assessment, self-assessment and learning assignments.
