Participating in a conference and presenting his/her own research as a speech or a poster and/or an international research visit or equivalent supporting dissertation work. Scientific communication in writing and/or orally; visibility of research.

Contact teaching, independent work/written assignment, independent work/project work and/or project work
N.B.! Language can be Finnish, English or other language used in this scientific community.
Assessment details
Regarding participation in a conference, pass requires
-participating in the conference plus
-presenting his/her own research as a speech or a poster
Completing this yields the following credits:
- national conferences, 1 ECTS credit
- international conferences, 2 ECTS credits
Furthermore, additional assignments agreed upon, such as a learning diary, may yield max. 1 ECTS credit/conference.
Regarding the research visit, pass requires
-a written plan of the research visits, compiled upon the recommendation of supervisors and in compliance with his/her postgraduate study plan
-national or international research visit or equivalent supporting research work
-a report reflecting the implementation and results of the research visit
Research visit yields 2 ECTS credits per month.
Learning outcomes
-gets acquainted with national and international research communities
-is able to create expert networks and be active in them.
