• The criteria for the applicability of therapeutic exercise
• The dose and effects of therapeutic exercise and their measurement in relation to body systems, functioning and disability
• Current research on effectiveness of therapeutic exercise
• Evaluating study designs and methods for assessing the effectiveness

Completion methods

Active participation in lectures (15 hours) and seminars (6 hours)
Independent study

Learning diary of the lectures 50%, written assignment 50%

Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student is able to
• define the scientific principles and applications of different types of therapeutic exercise
• evaluate the reliability of clinical methods used in therapeutic exercise
• critically analyze the research results concerning therapeutic activities and implement them to clinical work
