Content
Introduction to the different modes of publication of scientific research. Exercises and discussions about the writing and publishing of scientific articles and reports. Particularly aimed at students preparing to write their Masters thesis and special attention is given to the structure and writing process of the thesis
Completion methods
Participation to lectures and discussions, finishing writing tasks.
Assessment details
Assessment for the course: pass-fail.
To get a passing grade, the student is required to participate in lectures and discussions as well as finish writing tasks on acceptable level.
Learning outcomes
After finishing this course student is familiar with the standard structure of a scientific paper and knows the principles of scientific writing. Student is also capable to produce scientific text and to present research results using figures and tables. Student is familiar with the writing instructions of MSc thesis and is able to follow them.
